How can citizens have more faith in the public schools?

With the low test scores in many public school mostly inner city, how can we have faith in the public schools. Isn’t it wrong to send kids to under performing schools? My kids go to a small rural area public school with okay scores above average. What can we do to help the kids do good at their public schools?

stop saying to ourselves "better them than me"

What is wrong with public high school teachers today?

My daughter has a book report due soon. She is in 9th grade in one of the local public schools. The book that the whole class has to read is about a bunch of married people having affairs on each other. I found out about this last night. Should I go to the school and tell them this immorality is not allowed in my daughter’s head? Out of the 10 or so couples, 1 person is not cheating on their partner, the rest are! How can I teach her morals and faithfulness to her future spouse when the school is trying to diminish them?

go to the school and ask them what this book has to do with reading writing and arithmetic.

How many class periods are there in Scottish secondary school?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under secondary school | 2 Comments »

I’m writing a story set in Scotland… and one of the main characters in a secondary school teacher. So I want to know how many class periods he’d have…

I’d really appreciate any sort of helpful feedback on this.

We have 6 classes a day – 2 in the morning, then a 15 minute interval, another 2 before an hour for lunch and then finally 2 in the afternoon each lasting either 50 or 55 minutes depending what school you go to.

Would you give a transition year work experience in a primary school?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under primary school | 3 Comments »

For my work experience, I really want to do primary teaching because that’s what I want to do after the LC, Do teachers/principals of primary schools like this? (It’s for free btw) I you’re a teacher/principal of a primary school, what do you think of it?

Yes, my school took on TY students for their 2 wk placement, but only as assistants to the teachers or SNAs. You have to have a 2-yr qualification now to become a qualified SNA, so you won’t be given their duties, but you may be allowed to shadow one or help a teacher in the classroom. You should never be left on your own in a classroom, it’s against all sorts of rules and regulations.

How to get a scholorship to go to private boarding school?

My education is soooo important to me since I really want to get into art school to become a designer. I found a nearby boarding school that I want to go to but we have close to no money. My mom provides for 5 kids from working at target. I make good grades. Almost all A’s (I have an 82 in one class but I’m working on it) and I have a 100 % AVERAGE IN MATH!!! How do I get a scholarship?

Most boarding schools have scholarship grants for capable students who show passion.

My daughter is applying to boarding school for next year, and came across this website (below) that talks about another girl who just got into boarding school – on scholarship. Might be of help to you

Thanks.

Subjects are like

Japanese
arithmetic
society (talks about our society)
science
music

gym

We have 4 classes in beforenoon and 1 or 2 in afternoon on each day. Those subjects above are allocated to each timeline.

How do I start a middle school talent show?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under middle school | 1 Comment »

I wanted a cute little fundraiser idea for the middle school program. I want to know all of the steps and how many months needed to prepare. I also want to know the cost and how many volunteers needed. Any other information too! Please & Thank you! ^.^

You should probably ask the principle or head of the middle school for permission.

You would probably need a few months or maybe a few weeks. No more than 3 months if it’s just for fundraising.

Take as many volunteers as you can get. This would include setting up the stage and if you have to rent a place out or if your school has an auditorium, ask headmaster or principle if you could use.

Price should be summed up by the signs and if you will have a recession.

Ill favorite this and look back in a few if this helps or if you can go into a little more detail.

Good luck!

Are there any decent flight schools in New York?

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2009 and filed under schools | 3 Comments »

I am not sure if I am going to be accepted to the aviation program at Farmingdale’s College Flight School. I have been searching for other schools at airports that do not offer a degree for so long, but they all look the same to me. I live on Long Island and will travel either to MacArthur Airport or Republic airport in Farmingdale for training. If anyone can help me out or find me a school that fits, that would be great. I am looking for a school that has PPL-CPL-ME-Instrument, all that.. Thank you.

Who would win in a fight private or public school kids?

Who would win in a fight private or public school kids?
I always thought it was public but private schools always have the best football, wrestling and other contact sports.

There are more, tougher public school kids.
