How do I find a boarding school or a private school?

Posted by admin on November 7th, 2009 and filed under boarding school | 5 Comments »

need to get my daughter into a boarding school or a private school. She wants to go to school, but doesn’t like the public ones. I tried talking to her about online high school, but she wants to go to school. We llive in Minnesota right now. So can anyone help me?

If you want a good private AND boarding school, do a search on Yahoo…

Do you want a boarding school close to home for her to stay during the week and return on the weekends?

Do you want an all week boarding school for her to stay until each school break, such as Thanks giving, Christmas, Spring Break ? I know of a very good private boarding school in Pennsylvania: Check out http://www.grier.org

    what year is she?

If you are looking for 7+, I HIGHLY recommend looking at St. John’s Prep in Collegeville.
Most of my dad’s side of the family have gone there, including me. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED it. While most of my peers in other schools hated high school, i loved it.
it is a boarding school, or not. you can live there or commute (if you live close enough)

but there are many good private schools in the metro area: Breck, Cretin Derham Hall

Also, you may want to check with local churches – they often have schools attached and do not require that you are a church member to attend
