Which is more desirable? Also on average, how many hours per week do principals work? Lastly, can you become a principal if you start out as a school counselor or do only teachers become administrators? Thanks. I am looking at getting a masters in elementary school counseling and down the road I may get a 2nd masters in education administration.

I am a Grade 8 student and I wanted to ask what is the difference between elementary school and high school., cause I am scared of bullies in high school… It sound scary, but… COuld anyone tell me the differences please? well, there are several differences. You are the big fish right now, next year you will be the little guy, you will be new and have to learn whats what. It depends on how well your school is preparing you acedemically, my gf’s kid is going next year, and his 8th grade teachers are coddling him, which is doing him no favor. you will be expected to be a bit more mature, but also looked at as being less mature. I wouldnt worry about bullies really, its unlikely that many seniors will even know you are alive, and the sophomores arent really that much bigger than you.

Bullying and changing. I remember when I was in elementry school (I had just moved to a new school/house, and my parents were getting a divorce) the girls used to tease me because I was fat. Thats when I developed my first eating disorder. People thought I was weird. Changes for puberty start to happen close to 4-5th grade, which can be akward and confusing. For the younger kids, its mainly bullying and finding friends.

I’m needing a record that states i was attending school in the year 2000. Back then i was in the fifth grade. Can I possibly get a transcript if I go back to the school? Sadly I lost my elementary school diploma, and I need it to help my dad’s lawyer with his issues.

. Did you keep a copy of your report card by any chance, That might be proof enough. What usually happens is , your records follow you where ever you go. So say you moved to another district, the original district/school sends all of your records to the new district, so in your school file, you should have records of every school you attended. You might want to contact the last school district and tell them what you need, They should have records of all of your information,

I am a little "out of date" and would like to see what is super popular for elementary school kids. My daughter would like to enter the school talent show and using something that is really hip, but clean, would be helpful. Do you know of websites with ideas?

I have started and initiative to recycle paper at my child’s elementary school in order to prevent trees from being cut down. I would like my school to more widely involved with the community and i just don’t know where to start to do this. Someone please help!!!

Maybe start a composting system. It would fit well with your recycling initiative and is a good way to stress waste reduction as well as a pretty hands on way of learning basic biological processes. I didn’t compost when I was younger, but I’m friends with some folks that have done it all their lives and they say it taught them a lot when they were young. Also, it could be cool to do some gardening alongside the composting (as the two really go together).

My brother is DJing a dance at an elementary school and he needs to think of some music. Today’s popular music would be good. But it has to be appropriate.

Most songs have edited or clean versions. So it really would,’t matter what you chose as long as it was filtered. I think the Black Eyed Peas, OutKast, and even some Lady GaGa songs would be great. Fun, Pop songs that everyone could relate to and sing would be great. That Fireflies song by Owl City would be a good choice. Down by Jay Sean, Bad Romance, 21 Guns, etc.

Hi. I am a freshman at a liberal arts college and want to become an elementary school teacher. My school offers an education certification program, but I have to pick a major. They have human development, but I am really not interested in it. If I choose to major in something like biology or french, will that make me a less qualified candidate to get a job as a teacher. I just DO not enjoy human development as much as others in the course do. But I still want to become an elementary school teacher.

Normally liberal arts would be a good major for that but I think you can pretty much major in anything just as long as you meet the requirements to be a teacher in the state that you live in

I want to home school my two daughters who are going into 2nd and 4th grades and want to hire an elementary school teacher part time to do this. How do I go about finding someone? I have absolutely no idea how to find someone who can come to our home and teach the girls under the California curriculum and who has all their own teaching materials etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you work full time? If you want your girls to be home schooled so that they can learn more than what they’re taught at school, then I suggest you teach them yourself. Otherwise, try posting an ad on Craigslist.
