My child attended private school for K and 1st. Now both of my children are going into K and 2nd. I want them to go to public school to cut the cost of private school; however, I have heard bad experiences in the school they are supposed to go to. Can I get special permission to send them to a different public school? Alot of the parents I talk to are not happy with the school.
Some times you can. If the school you want to attend is crowded they are not going to allow anyone outside of their boarders in. You will also have to provide your own transportation to the school. You need to go to your school district.

u are usually put with yr school district and the school closet to u – your"local" school. u can opt out of that and apply to go to a charter school-
i teach at one- but we have waiting lists like other schools.
talk to yr local district

it depends on the district and situations…some examples,
as someone previously said…charter schools…or magnet schools.
I’m not sure about laws elsewhere or if its a federal law, but in California, if the school your child is supposed to attend is a "program improvement" school, then you can opt to have your child attend another school.
You may ask for transfers to other schools due to daycare issues…for example, if a baby sitter or daycare center is closer to this other school or they will only pick your children up at another school…
just some ideas
