How do you get statistics and info on public schools in NY?

I’m trying to get factual data/statistics and other information on public schools in lower Westchester County in NY. Anyone know of public (or private) reliable resources. I hear ‘word-of-mouth’ that certain schools are good or excellent, but they sound pretty subjective. I’m looking for actual numbers and data.

Thanks,
Rupak

Try the NYS Department of Education website (www.nysed.gov).
Here’s a link to a page that has school "report cards." That will give you stats (like results of standardized tests, etc.) for each school district, and individual schools within the districts.

Try googling those words and see what comes up. Only trust something from a .gov site.
